How to apply

Who Can Participate ?

  • The ASSOCHAM-ERICSSON Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) is designed for both School and College Students.
  • The course content is designed and developed in a such a manner that, it can be easily read and understood by School students as well as college students. However, college students will have to appear for a few additional questions during the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  • Under Graduate College Students of any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Others) can participate in this Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  • Schools can participate in this Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) by encouraging the students to take part and present their pro-active involvement in promoting Intellectual Property.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for Schools
1. All schools that provided Secondary and Higher Secondary level education are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
2. All private, public, international & open learning school based within the geographical territory of India are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
3. All Boys, Girls and Co-educational Schools are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
4. All Hindi medium, English medium and other regional language schools are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
Eligibility Criteria for School Students
1. All students of Class 9, 10, 10+1 & 10+2 are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
2. Students of any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ etc..) are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
3. All students who can read and write in English language are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
4. All students those have access to Internet are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
Eligibility Criteria for College Students
1. All college students pursuing or have completed their course are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
2. All college students of any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Law/ etc..) are eligible to participate in theIntellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
3. All college Under Graduate (UG) students are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
4. All college students from any university are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
5. All college students who have opted for either regular courses or distant learning courses or vocational courses or open learnings are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
6. All college students who want to be IP professionals in the future are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).

Registration Process

Registrations for Schools and College Students have separate registration processes.  The  Registration fee of RS 250 each student . All registration will have to be logged in through the Sign Up/ Sign in www.iptse.com.

Digital Content

 The digital content will be available to all participating students by the month of 1st July 2018. The content will be PDF format that will encrypted and cannot be printed. Any unauthorized use of the content apart for the purpose of Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) will be treated as an offence.

Mock Test & Examination

The Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) will be conducted online for a duration of 45 mins for school students and 1 hr. for college students.The exam will have 5 sections and each question will be time bound. It will be a multiple choice objective type questions. College students will have 5 extra questions than school students.

Mock Tests to test their speed and accuracy will be available at regular intervals. Students will be notified by e-mails and SMSs.

Student will be provided with the exact date and time of the examination well in advance.

Students will have arrange for a laptop and desktop with internet connection on their own or through the school’s help.

Result Declaration

 The results will be declared based on following parameters

A. Selection Methodology

1BackgroundThe question bank has been divided in 3 levels of difficulty and will have relevant weightage
  The exam will be divided in 4 sections and will have minimum qualification criteria
   
2CategorizationThe program will identify 3 different categories of winners - Schools, Schools Students, College Students
  Each of these categories will have different levels of winners - School Level, District Level, State Level and National Level. (Details as below)
   
3Winner SelectionOn the basis of Max marks obtained + Difficulty levels attained + Time spent per question(if needed to break-ties)
  For School &School Students:
  First selection will be for the National Level Champion
  Second Selection will be State Level Champions
  Third Selection will be District Level Champions
  Final Selection will be School Level Champions
  For College Students top 3 will be selected at national level and state level
