The IP Olympiad

The process of applying for the IP examination is simple and user-friendly. The Intellectual Property rights exam registration page has two different sections: one for individuals and another section for institutions. All you need to do is follow the below steps:

Fill in your details (name, institution, email id, etc.)

The system will navigate to the payment page
Step 4
Once the payment is made, you will be provided with a personalized dashboard

After successful log in, individuals can access the course content, exam duration, dates and other details of the IP Olympiad. With this, the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination- first of its kind IP Olympiad Procedure in India will be complete

Complete the form with all relevant institution details and provide the contact information of a faculty member that IPTSE can contact.
Step 3
After the form submission is complete, IPTSE will reach out to the institution for the registration fee. With this, the Intellectual Property Examination process will be complete

Prior to students’ registration, the school and universities are required to register with IPTSE, according to the examination process. This is to ensure ease of registration in case of a large number of students from a particular institution.
University students can register directly on the website.

EXAMINATION GUIDELINES
UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
- Exam duration: 60 minutes. No. of questions: 60 questions.
- You may spend as much time on a question as you require. There is no timer for each question.
- There will be no negative marking.
- To qualify, the candidate must score 40% and above, i.e., correctly answer 24 questions or more.
- You may skip questions; however, you will not be able to return to the skipped question/s at the end of the exam.
- Every student who participates will get a unique rank.
- Instructions for the examination will be sent via email to your registered email ID. All students are requested to go through it before proceeding with the examination.
SCHOOL STUDENTS
- Exam duration: 45 minutes. No. of Questions: 45 questions.
- You may spend as much time on a question as you require. There is no timer for each question.
- There will be no negative marking.
- To qualify, the candidate must score 40% and above, i.e., correctly answer 18 questions or more.
- You may skip questions; however, you will not be able to return to the skipped question/s at the end of the exam.
- Every student who participates will get a unique rank.
- Instructions for the examination will be sent via email to your registered email ID. All students are requested to go through it before proceeding with the examination.
RULES & REGULATIONS
- To avoid reducing your exam duration, login to the exam portal at least 15 minutes before to complete the system check.
- You will be notified of the time remaining, 10 minutes before the end of the examination.
- You may skip questions; however, you will not be able to return to the skipped question/s at the end of the exam.
- Please avoid switching between tabs/windows. Switching will result in auto termination.
- Don’t exit the exam portal during the examination, it will result in auto termination of the session. You will automatically be disqualified after the 3rd attempt at exiting/switching tabs or windows.
- Please close all other tabs & windows before you begin the examination.
- You are not permitted to leave your device during the examination. Washroom visits and snack breaks are not advised.
- Do not connect to external hardware like displays/monitors/projectors, before or during the examination.
- You are not allowed to use headphones, ear pods/buds, speakers, or any other listening equipment. There are no audio instructions/questions.
- Except the examinee, no other person is allowed near the examination device.
- At the end of the exam, ensure you confirm the submission of your answers.
- Do not abruptly close the examination tab/window; wait until your answers have been submitted.

Selection Criteria
The winner will be selected based on the following criteria-
National Level
- The duration of time spent on examination.
- The duration of time spent on each question.
- Score Obtained in the Examination.
Regional Level
- As above from the National Level.
- A minimum of 500 students must be registered in each region, for that region to have a “regional rank holder”.
